Visiting

Your ABBA visit in three steps

  1. Book a time slot

Entry is by time slot. Book ahead in summer and on weekends to get the time you want.

  2. Bring a card

The museum is cashless: card or phone payment only.

  3. Plan 1.5 to 2 hours

The museum is busiest between 10:00 and 15:00; an early or late slot is calmer.

ABBA The Museum in one minute

ABBA The Museum is an interactive exhibition about the band on Djurgården, in the same building as the Swedish Music Hall of Fame. You pick a date and a time slot when you buy, the museum is cashless, and a visit takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Adult tickets cost €24 to €31 depending on the date; on GetYourGuide they start at €24.

ABBA The Museum is not included in the Stockholm Pass or any other city pass. If you also plan the Vasa Museum, Skansen or a boat tour, it often works out cheapest to use the pass for those and book ABBA separately.

Tickets and prices

  • Adults: €24 to €31, depending on the period.
  • Children 7 to 15: a reduced price; children up to 6 enter free.
  • Family ticket: for up to two adults and two children aged 7 to 15.
  • Students and seniors (65+): a reduced price.
  • Combo with the hop-on hop-off bus: from €51 on Headout.

Your ticket is valid for one entry at the time slot you booked. Arrive on time, not earlier, to avoid waiting. You can cancel or change up to 24 hours before your slot, and you do not need to print the ticket: the QR code on your phone works.

What you can do inside

The museum calls itself an exhibition where you take part. In The Audition you sing ABBA karaoke in a booth that feels like the Polar Studio, and on the large stage you can perform as the fifth member of ABBA together with Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Frida. There is an ABBA quiz, a cinema, and the costumes and story of the band's career.

The audio guide runs through QR codes on your own phone in 12 languages, narrated by the band members in Swedish and English. Photos without flash are allowed. Visitors under 16 need an adult with them, strollers stay outside the exhibition, and lockers are few and too small for suitcases.

When to go

The museum is busiest between 10:00 and 15:00, so the first or last slots of the day are calmer. Opening hours in 2026:

  • January to April and September to 23 December: 10:00 to 18:00.
  • May: 10:00 to 20:00.
  • 1 June to 16 August: 9:00 to 20:00; 17 to 31 August 10:00 to 20:00.
  • 24 and 25 December: 10:00 to 15:00.

The 2027 hours had not been published when we checked. In summer and at weekends the popular slots sell out, so book a few days ahead.

Getting there

  • Tram 7 or bus 67 to the stop Liljevalchs/Gröna Lund.
  • Djurgården ferry to Allmänna gränd, a short walk away.
  • On foot about 20 minutes from the city centre.

The address is Djurgårdsvägen 68, between Liljevalchs and Gröna Lund. There is no parking. The Vasa Museum, Vrak and Skansen are all within a few minutes' walk.

ABBA plus the Stockholm Pass

Because ABBA is not on any pass, the question is what else you see that day. With the Vasa Museum, Skansen and a boat tour on Djurgården, the 1-day pass at €84 usually beats single tickets for those three; add ABBA on top as a separate ticket. With only ABBA and one more museum, single tickets are cheaper. The pass calculator works this out for your list.
